World Quds Day March in Tehran 2026: Massive Rally Amid Iran-Israel-US War Tensions

What Is World Quds Day?

Origins of the Event

World Quds Day was established in 1979 following the Iranian Revolution by the founder of the Islamic Republic, Ruhollah Khomeini.

The event takes place every year on the last Friday of Ramadan, the holy Islamic month of fasting. The day is intended to express solidarity with Palestinians and protest Israeli control over Jerusalem.

The word Quds” is the Arabic name for Jerusalem, considered sacred by Muslims, Jews, and Christians.

Since its creation, the event has grown into a global political demonstration held in several countries.
