The Azak unmanned ground vehicle showcased its ability to retrieve injured soldiers and transport them to safety.
In modern warfare, casualty evacuation is one of the most dangerous tasks on the battlefield. Medical personnel often have to enter areas under enemy fire to rescue wounded troops.
Autonomous vehicles designed for medical evacuation could drastically reduce the risk faced by these rescue teams.
