Funeral Held for Victims of US-Israeli Attacks: Families Mourn as Tensions Rise in the Middle East

Thousands Gather at Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery

The funeral ceremony was held on March 12 and drew thousands of mourners from across the capital and surrounding provinces. Crowds dressed mostly in black gathered around the gravesites while religious leaders recited prayers.

Many attendees carried banners condemning the attacks and expressing support for Iran’s armed forces. Others waved national flags or held images of the fallen soldiers.

According to local media reports, the individuals being buried were members of Iran’s military forces and security units who were killed during the alleged US-Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian military infrastructure.

During the ceremony, the atmosphere was heavy with grief. Mothers clutched photographs of their sons, fathers stood silently near the coffins, and children watched as the bodies of their relatives were lowered into the ground.
