Rangers of the Islamic Republic Army Demonstrate Combat Readiness
Maintaining readiness between major exercises
Operational preparedness is not limited to large publicized military drills.
Much of the work required to maintain readiness takes place through routine training activities, physical conditioning and smaller field exercises.
Large exercises provide a visible demonstration of capabilities, but they depend on months and years of preparation.
For specialized formations, readiness is built through repetition.
Personnel must remain familiar with equipment, procedures and organizational responsibilities. Physical conditioning must also be maintained continuously.
This creates a cycle of preparation, exercise, assessment and improvement.
