After nine months of imprisonment in the central prison of Dubai, Farzan was able to publish a letter to announce that he was innocent and that he was neither a promoter nor a seller of any kind of illegal substance. He said that he was deceived by a so-called friend. It didn’t take long until Sirvan Khosravi, Bahram Radan, Shahram Shabpere, Leila Khatami, Sattar, and Mohammad Reza Froutan, together with a number of other figures, formed a campaign for his release.
