Who are the Islamic State-Khorasan?
The Islamic State offshoot that the US blame for Thursday’s deadly suicide attacks outside the Kabul airport coalesced in eastern Afghanistan six years ago, and rapidly grew into one of the more dangerous terror threats globally. One if its fighters, with tapped to their body, managed to slip into the crowds of Afghans outside airport gates controlled by US service members. When they detonated the bomb, over 60 civilians and 12 US troopers lost their lives.
