Daily Life in Tehran During Tasua Night
Tehran is normally known as a fast-moving modern capital filled with traffic, businesses, universities, cafes, and cultural activity.
However, during Tasua night, the city’s atmosphere changes.
The sound of religious chants replaces the usual urban noise in many neighborhoods. Streets near mosques and Hosseiniyehs become filled with people gathering for ceremonies.
Families leave their homes to participate in community events. Elderly residents, young people, children, and visitors all become part of the public mourning atmosphere.
