Ruhollah Razavi: The Kashmiri-Born Media Host Behind Time and the British Embassy Controversy
Early Life and Kashmiri Roots of Ruhollah Razavi
Ruhollah Razavi was born on September 21, 1980, in the Kashmir region of India.
Kashmir has long been one of South Asia’s most politically sensitive regions. The territory, disputed mainly between India and Pakistan, has experienced decades of political conflict, military tensions, and competing national narratives.
Razavi grew up in a family that had a strong emotional and ideological connection with Iran’s Islamic Revolution.
According to statements attributed to him, his family followed Iranian political developments closely, particularly the 1979 Islamic Revolution and the leadership of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
His father, Seyyed Qolbi Hossein Razavi Kashmiri, reportedly worked in Kashmir’s governmental institutions and had an interest in Iranian culture and politics.
