Reza Pahlavi Rally in Düsseldorf: Global Demonstrations Mark Mahsa Amini Anniversary and Call for a Free Iran
Why Düsseldorf Has Become an Important Iranian Diaspora City
Düsseldorf is home to a substantial Iranian community and has become an important location for Iranian cultural, political and business activities in Germany.
The city’s significance increased further in September 2026 with the F.I.E. Conference Europe.
The official conference, held on September 3, was titled “A Free Iran and the European Union: Economic Opportunities and Strategic Cooperation.” According to the conference organizers, it brought together political figures, legal experts, economists, industry representatives, technology specialists, civil society figures and international partners.
The conference focused on a question that is increasingly present within Iranian opposition politics abroad:
What would happen to Iran after a political transition?
That question goes beyond the removal of the Islamic Republic.
It includes rebuilding government institutions, stabilizing the economy, restoring infrastructure, reforming the legal system, addressing political crimes, rebuilding international relations and creating conditions for investment.
The Iran Prosperity Project is one of the most prominent initiatives associated with this discussion.
