Margaret Qualley Wears Chanel’s Viral Barefoot Shoes at The Dog Stars London Premiere
Margaret Qualley’s Chanel Look at The Dog Stars Premiere
For the London premiere, Margaret Qualley wore a black Chanel dress featuring a plunging neckline, cap sleeves and delicate fringe detailing. The silhouette was elegant but deliberately understated compared with the footwear, allowing the unconventional Chanel shoes to become a major focal point.
The look was styled by Danielle Goldberg, who paired the dress with Chanel’s experimental sole-less footwear. Qualley’s black pedicure was also visible, making the illusion of walking barefoot even more pronounced. The styling created an unusual combination of traditional red-carpet glamour and radically minimalist footwear.
The decision was particularly effective because the dress itself had a strong relationship with the Resort 2027 runway. On the Chanel catwalk, the barefoot heel design appeared alongside flowing, fringe-heavy silhouettes and seaside-inspired looks. Qualley’s red-carpet styling retained that connection while translating the runway concept into a much more formal environment.
At the London premiere, the shoes did not disappear beneath the dress. Instead, the asymmetrical hemline and movement of the fringe gave viewers repeated glimpses of the Chanel-branded heel cap and exposed foot.
That made the footwear impossible to ignore.
