Javad Ezzati: From Baba Ati in Bitter Coffee to Vahshi, Zakhm Kari and Bloody Crocodile

Who Is Javad Ezzati?

Javad Ezzati, whose full name is Mohammad Javad Ezzati, is an Iranian actor and filmmaker known for his work in theater, television, cinema and home entertainment. He was born on January 10, 1988, in Tehran, Iran, and developed an interest in acting from a young age.

Ezzati’s professional development began in theater. Before becoming a familiar face on Iranian television and cinema screens, he spent years performing on stage and developing his acting technique. His theater background became an important foundation for the physicality, voice control and character-building skills that later became trademarks of his performances.

Although Iranian audiences initially became familiar with him through comedy, his career gradually moved toward more serious material. This transition was particularly significant because Ezzati demonstrated that his ability to create exaggerated comic characters was not his only strength. He could also portray troubled, ambitious, violent, emotionally conflicted and socially complex characters.

His career therefore represents a remarkable transition from Iranian comedy actor to dramatic and versatile film actor, while still maintaining his ability to return to commercial comedy whenever the right project appears.
