Jahangir Almasi: From Hezardastan and After the Rain to His Recent Financial Struggles

Among the most important works associated with Jahangir Almasi is the legendary Iranian television series Hezardastan, directed by Ali Hatami.

Hezardastan is widely regarded as one of the landmark television productions in Iranian cultural history. The series combined historical storytelling, social themes, elaborate production design and a remarkable ensemble cast.

Almasi played Dr. Musa Khan Faiz.

He appeared alongside some of the most celebrated actors of Iranian cinema, including Jamshid Mashayekhi, Ali Nasirian, Mohammad Ali Keshavarz, Ezzatollah Entezami, Parviz Pourhosseini and Jahangir Forouhar.

Parts of Hezardastan were later adapted or released in connection with The Punishment Committee.

Almasi’s participation in such a major production became one of the most significant entries in his television career.
