Iraqi Kurds Prepare for War With Iran: Rising Tensions on the Middle East’s Most Volatile Border
The Role of the Coalition of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan
The Kurdish militias currently preparing for potential conflict operate within the Coalition of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan.
This alliance includes several major Iranian Kurdish political parties.
The coalition was created to:
-
Coordinate Kurdish political strategies
-
Strengthen international advocacy
-
Improve cooperation among Kurdish opposition groups
Although these organizations sometimes differ ideologically, they share common goals regarding Kurdish rights and political reform in Iran.
The coalition has increasingly warned that Kurdish regions could become a flashpoint if broader conflict involving Iran expands.
