Who Was Ahmad Rezaei Mirqaed? The Mysterious Life and Death of Mohsen Rezaei’s Son in Dubai
When and Where Was Ahmad Rezaei Born?
Ahmad Rezaei Mirqaed was born on November 20, 1976, in Masjed-e-Suleiman, in Iran’s Khuzestan Province.
He was the eldest son of Mohsen Rezaei.
His childhood coincided with a turbulent period in Iranian history.
The Islamic Revolution took place in 1979, when Ahmad was still a young child. A few years later, Iran entered the devastating Iran-Iraq War.
His father’s military responsibilities meant that Ahmad’s childhood was shaped by the absence of a father who spent substantial periods involved in military affairs.
Years later, Mohsen Rezaei himself reflected publicly on the effect of wartime absence on his family and children.
In a remembrance concerning Ahmad, Mohsen Rezaei described his son as having a distinctive personality and recalled the emotional consequences of growing up with a father who was frequently away because of the war.
According to Mohsen Rezaei’s account, Ahmad had once expressed a child’s wish that his father would either be martyred or spend ordinary time with him, such as going to a park or market.
This recollection provides an unusual personal dimension to a family otherwise known primarily through politics and military history.
