Maryam Rajavi Presents “Crime contre l’humanité” at Human Rights Meeting in Ieper

Introduction

Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), stands as one of the most prominent figures in the contemporary Iranian opposition movement, internationally recognized for her advocacy of democracy, human rights, gender equality, and the abolition of the death penalty in Iran. Her political leadership, global outreach, and symbolic presence at international forums have positioned her as a central voice representing the aspirations of millions of Iranians seeking freedom from authoritarian rule.

On December 11, 2025, Maryam Rajavi visited Ieper, Belgium, a historic City of Peace and Remembrance, where she participated in a public human rights meeting at Ieper City Hall. During this event, she presented the book “Crime contre l’humanité”, a publication addressing crimes against humanity and systemic repression in Iran. The visit, held at the invitation of Mayor Katrien Desomer, included official ceremonies, a visit to the In Flanders Fields Museum, and participation in the solemn Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate. The occasion carried deep symbolic meaning, linking Iran’s contemporary struggle for justice with Europe’s historical memory of war, suffering, and the pursuit of peace.
