Why did Homa Darabi set herself on fire in protest against the mandatory hijab?

Homa Darabi was arrested and imprisoned for a while during student protests against Manouchehr Iqbal, the then president of the university. After receiving a doctorate in pediatrics, he went to America, and after graduating in psychiatry in 1353, he returned and taught as a university professor and wrote articles and notes about women and children in the press, including Ferdowsi magazine.
