UnitedAgainstGenderApartheid: Amplifying the Voices of Women in Iran and Afghanistan
Standing Strong and United
Against this absolute evil, we stand stronger and more united than ever. The #UnitedAgainstGenderApartheid campaign is a testament to the power of solidarity and collective action. By joining this campaign, you become part of a global movement demanding justice and equality for women in Iran and Afghanistan. Together, we can amplify their voices and compel the international community to recognize and act against gender apartheid.
Hvor Går USA? A Discussion on Democracy and Global Impact
In addition to our campaign efforts, we recently hosted a significant meeting in the Parliament of Norway. We invited Jeffrey Rosen, the leader of the Constitutional Center in the USA, to discuss the state of democracy, cooperation, and debate among Norwegian-Americans who support different presidential candidates. The conversation highlighted the enduring bond between the USA and Norway, both of which have the world’s oldest constitutions. The outcome of the upcoming US election will undoubtedly have significant implications for Norwegian politics as well.
Meeting Young Human Rights Advocates
Following this, we met with young human rights advocates from Iran, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, and Gaza who are currently in Oslo. It was incredibly moving to meet these young individuals, some of whom have lost an eye or an arm in their fight for democracy against brutal regimes. Their courage and determination underscore the importance of supporting their efforts. People in these countries deserve the same freedoms that we enjoy. Furthermore, we understand that if authoritarian regimes gain more power, it will pose a threat to our security in this part of the world as well.
