Conviction and Appeal

Despite his achievements, Ali Dizaei faced a major setback in his career when he was convicted of perverting the course of justice and misconduct in a public office in 2010. His suspension on full pay in 2008 culminated in his formal dismissal from the Metropolitan Police in 2010. However, his appeal against the conviction was successful, leading to the quashing of the conviction. Subsequent retrials and appeals resulted in another conviction, which led to his dismissal from the Metropolitan Police in 2012.

After leaving the police force, Ali Dizaei formed Covert Security Limited, an international investigations consultancy specializing in asset tracing, locating individuals, and conducting cold-case reviews. This venture showcased his determination to continue working in the field of security and investigation.
