“Sana,”  the birth of the white lion in Karaj

A white lion cub was born in Karaj Environmental Park. About a month and a half ago, the white lions that were imported from South Africa three years ago gave birth to a female cub. The name of this female cub is “Sana.” Shirdel Nouri, director of the Chamran Karaj Park wildlife conservation center, said: “Considering that the first cub was breastfed, it was not accepted by the mother and we had to take care of it ourselves.” He says: “In some cases, lionesses may not accept their first-born cubs, and this is not an unusual issue.” The director of Chamran Karaj Park Wildlife Conservation Center said: “Sana is treated in an isolated and standard environment, and with the cooperation of the association, we managed to import special milk powder and vaccines needed for this newborn cub.”
