Join the Royal Family Pahlavi in 2583 to celebrate Nowruz in all its glory

Conclusion

Shahbanou Farah Pahlavi, the former empress of Iran, and Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, along with their families, have remained notable figures in Iranian society and international circles. Their relationships, marriages, and personal interests offer us glimpses into their private lives outside of politics.

Reza Pahlavi has had a few high-profile loves over time. In Rome in the 1980s with a Swedish model. In Lubbock in the same decade, with an Egyptian girlfriend. But there was another one. A big one. In 1985, he met Yasmine Etemad-Amini and married her when she was only 17 years old. Three daughters later—Noor (named after her grandmother), Iman (yes, like the late fashion icon), and Farah—the couple remains together.

He has also held honorary positions unrelated to his family’s legacy; for example, in 2004, he became the “unofficial godfather” of Princess Louise of Belgium, strengthening his ties to European royal families.

We all know that Reza is an avid football fan—Tehran’s club Esteghlal being his favorite—bbut we don’t often hear about his other hobbies, like attending tennis matches at elite clubs in Cairo or going disco-hopping along Cairo’s Nile River.

Despite being born into a Shia Muslim community and receiving religious education throughout his life as a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Reza Pahlavi does not consider religion a public matter but rather a private one that each person can practice freely according to their own beliefs.
