Alidoosti got married and, in 2013, had a daughter. Her only brother died young, in an accident on Fireworks Wednesday (a New Year’s festivity). Authorities detained Alidoosti only a few days after she criticized the execution of Mohsen Shekari, which is the first known execution carried out as a direct result of the Mahsa Amini protests. She made an Instagram post following Shekari’s execution: “Your silence means supporting oppression and oppressors.”
