Madison Marsh, Groundbreaking US Air Force Officer, Crowned Miss America 2024
Madison Marsh: A Pioneer in Beauty and Bravery
Madison Marsh hails from Fort Smith, Arkansas, and made history by being the first active-duty officer from any branch of the military to represent the Miss America organization at the national level. Marsh, currently a budding Top Gun pilot, ventured into the world of pageantry as an extracurricular activity during her time at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA).
What drew her to pageants? Marsh finds value in the “community service aspects” and the emphasis on public speaking that pageants offer. She also commends the evolving standards, especially in women’s fitness, stating, “Pageants are changing, and one of the ways is in what being physically fit means to women.”
