Inside Casa Cruz, the most expensive new restaurant in New York City
“There was the idea of a curated Casa Cruz family,” says Santa Cruz of the investor group, which includes athletes, fashion designers and filmmakers. It’s an expansion of the model Santa Cruz has used at all of his restaurants. Casa Cruz London, which operated under the partnership model until 2020, opened in 2015 with 34 partners. “Everybody would say to their friends, ‘Come to my restaurant,’ because it was their restaurant as well,” says Santa Cruz.
