How much travelers pay for some of the world’s most expensive passports
Cuba
The passport renewal process in Cuba differs from that of other countries. According to the Cuban government, obtaining a new passport locally costs 2500 Cuban pesos (approximately $105). The validity of the passport is six years, but it must be renewed every two years to remain valid. Each renewal incurs an additional cost of 500 CUP. Therefore, the total cost of holding a valid Cuban passport for 10 years amounts to approximately 6500 CUP (about $270).
