10 Minutes of Daily Walking to Extend Lifespan by Years: New Research Reveals Amazing Benefits
How Daily Walking to Extend Lifespan Can Benefit You
The research, conducted in England, specifically examined the effects of daily walking on life expectancy among older adults. It revealed that men who incorporate just 10 minutes of walking into their daily routine could potentially add up to 16 months to their lives. Women, on the other hand, could see an increase of about 11 months. However, the benefits don’t stop there. The study also found that by increasing the duration and intensity of daily walking, individuals could further enhance these life-extending effects. For instance, a daily 30-minute walk could add as much as 2.5 years to a man’s life and up to 16 months to a woman’s life.
This extensive study involved a detailed analysis of data from over 40,000 women and 30,000 men, most of whom were in their sixties. Interestingly, the participants did not need to be in peak physical condition to experience these benefits. The research demonstrated that even those who were not previously active could significantly improve their lifespan simply by incorporating daily walking into their lives.
