Mehdi Ghayedi (born December 5, 1998) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward or second striker for Persian Gulf League club Esteghlal and the national team. Ghayedi was born in Bushehr and started his career at the youth level with Iranjavan Bushehr. He was promoted to the senior squad before the start of 2016–17 and scored 10 times. He was named the Azadegan League young player of the season for the 2016–17 season in July 2017.
