Instead, skills such as quick decision-making, empathy, teamwork, and mental resilience are equally vital.

Schools and universities have incorporated programs that encourage female students to explore careers beyond conventional norms, including firefighting.

Leila, a 25-year-old firefighter from Shiraz, shares her story of overcoming skepticism. Mahsa, a veteran firefighter who has mentored several women, emphasizes the importance of mentorship. She recounts how her mentor’s encouragement helped her persevere through tough times, and she now strives to serve as a role model for others.
