The Shahid Motahari Higher School has been the location of a number of important religious and public events in Tehran. Holding the memorial service there placed the commemoration in a prominent religious and educational setting.

Who Was Ayatollah Shobeiri Zanjani?
Ayatollah Seyyed Mousa Shobeiri Zanjani was a prominent Shia jurist and religious authority whose career was closely connected with the scholarly institutions of Qom.
He was known for his work in Islamic jurisprudence, religious scholarship, teaching, and the study of the intellectual history of the Shia scholarly tradition. Over many decades, he taught students and participated in the academic and religious life of the seminary.
Following his death, Iranian religious organizations and senior clerics issued messages of condolence. Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi, for example, described his death as a significant loss for the religious community and highlighted his long career in religious teaching, scholarship, and guidance.
The official communications associated with Shobeiri Zanjani’s office also emphasized his scholarly work, continued efforts in Islamic jurisprudence, and religious service. His office announced his death and subsequently published information concerning funeral and memorial ceremonies.
