Prince Reza Pahlavi at Dutch Parliament: Opposition Figure Discusses the Future of Amid Political Uncertainty
Who Is Prince Reza Pahlavi?
Reza Pahlavi was born on October 31, 1960, in Tehran, Iran. He is the eldest son of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and Empress Farah Pahlavi, the final ruling monarchs of Iran before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
After the revolution removed the monarchy and established the Islamic Republic, the Pahlavi family went into exile. Reza Pahlavi has lived primarily outside Iran since that period, becoming an outspoken advocate for political change inside his homeland.
Unlike traditional monarchist movements that seek the immediate restoration of a royal system, Reza Pahlavi has frequently stated that Iran’s future political structure should be determined by the Iranian people through a democratic process.
His supporters often describe him as a figure who can unite different opposition groups because of his international recognition and historical connection to Iran’s pre-revolution era.
