Mitra Hajjar’s debut in the Iranian film industry occurred in 1997, with her first appearance being as a television host. She was introduced by the late Masoud Rassam, a prominent figure in Iranian media. Her initial role was as the host of the ten-part TV program Gabi with Artists, broadcast on the JamJam network.

Her transition from television hosting to acting on the big screen marked a significant turning point. In 1998, she made her cinematic debut in the film Gharibaneh, directed by Ahmad Amini. Her performance was well-received, setting the stage for her future success.
