Mitra Hajjar’s rise to prominence was cemented by her role in the film Born in Mehr (2000), directed by Dariush Mehrjui. Her portrayal of the character Moonlight earned her the coveted Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress at the 19th Fajr International Film Festival, Iran’s most prestigious film festival.

This accolade catapulted her into national stardom and marked her as one of Iran’s leading actresses. Her chemistry with co-star Mohammad Reza Foroutan, especially in their romantic roles, became a record in Iranian cinema, with the duo acting together in seven films.
