Personal Life

Pezeshkian’s personal life has been marked by both tragedy and resilience. His wife, a gynecologist, and their youngest son died in a car crash in 1993. Pezeshkian raised his remaining two sons and daughter alone and has not remarried. His daughter, Zahra, holds a master’s degree in chemistry from Sharif University of Technology and worked at Jam Petrochemical before the Rouhani government. She is also recognized as a political adviser.

Cultural and Linguistic Proficiency

Pezeshkian is deeply rooted in Islamic teachings and practices. He is a teacher of the Quran and a reciter of Nahj al-Balagha, a key text for Shia Muslims. Besides Persian, he is fluent in Azerbaijani, Kurdish, Arabic, and English, showcasing his linguistic versatility.
