John Cena and Shay Shariatzadeh Turn Heads at Matchbox: The Movie World Premiere
John Cena and his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh, captured attention on the red carpet as they attended the world premiere of Apple Original Films’ upcoming movie Matchbox: The Movie at AMC Lincoln Square in New York City.
The couple appeared together at the highly anticipated premiere on Monday, October 5, ahead of the film’s global release on Apple TV on October 9, 2026. Their appearance quickly attracted attention from entertainment and fashion audiences, with photographs showing the couple posing together outside the New York theater.
Cena, one of Hollywood’s most recognizable actors and a former professional wrestling superstar, attended the event alongside Shariatzadeh, who has maintained a relatively private public profile while occasionally accompanying her husband at major entertainment events.
The couple’s coordinated red-carpet appearance became one of the visual highlights surrounding the Matchbox: The Movie premiere.
Rather than wearing identical outfits, Cena and Shariatzadeh chose complementary colors. Shades of green dominated their looks, while gold accents and touches of red created a coordinated but individualistic appearance.
Shariatzadeh appeared in a striking gown reportedly valued at approximately €6,000 and designed by Naeem Khan, while Cena wore a green plaid-patterned suit.
The result was a polished red-carpet look that attracted attention not only because of the upcoming Apple Original Film but also because of the couple’s appearance together.
