Drone Strike Kills Kurdish Fighter Ghazal Molaei

According to reports, Ghazal Molaei, a young Peshmerga fighter affiliated with the Komala opposition movement, succumbed to her injuries on April 15 after being hospitalized following a drone attack.

The strike targeted positions linked to the Komala party in the Surdash area near Sulaymaniyah, a key city in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The attack reportedly occurred on April 14, marking the first such incident since a fragile ceasefire took effect in the broader regional conflict.

Komala officials and commanders, including Mohammed Hakimi, accused Iran and its affiliated militias of carrying out the strike.
