Daryabari’s personal journey began in technology.

Her education in computer science and telecommunications management positioned her for a career in one of the most rapidly changing industries in America. She worked in telecommunications before turning a significant portion of her attention toward philanthropy.

Her later activities demonstrate an interest in education and cultural preservation.

One of her notable initiatives was the Unique Zan Foundation, which focused on improving education, health and employment opportunities for women in the Middle East. The San Francisco Chronicle has also documented her philanthropic work, including support for educational initiatives and Persian studies.

Daryabari also became closely associated with the Pars Equality Center, an organization serving Persian-speaking immigrants, refugees and other members of the Iranian-American community.
