Farshad Mottaqi: A Brief Biography
Farshad Mottaqi is an Iranian broadcaster and journalist who became widely known among Persian-speaking audiences through his work in television and journalism outside Iran.
Secondary biographical sources state that he was born in Rasht in August 1968 and spent his early years there before moving to Tehran at the age of 17. The same sources say he studied literature in high school and later obtained a university degree in business management.
According to these published biographies, Mottaqi later moved to the United Kingdom at the age of 24 and worked for the Iranian newspaper Nimroz for approximately nine years. He subsequently moved into television broadcasting and became associated with Manoto.
