What Is the Diplomatic Ladies’ Association Charity Exhibition?

The Diplomatic Ladies’ Association charity exhibition is an annual event associated with the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s diplomatic community. It provides participating organizations and entrepreneurs with an opportunity to display and sell products while supporting charitable activities.

The association’s charity markets have a history of involving wives of foreign ambassadors, Iranian diplomats and representatives of foreign missions. A previous edition, for example, included participants from 17 foreign countries and featured handicrafts, clothing and traditional foods from different cultures.

The 2026 exhibition was described in Iranian reports as the 16th edition of the event. It opened on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Abgineh Hall, with reports noting the participation of Fatemeh Mohajerani, Zahra Pezeshkian and Arzu Ahmadvand.

The exhibition therefore served several purposes at once: charity fundraising, support for entrepreneurs, promotion of Iranian products, cultural interaction and engagement with the diplomatic community.

Araghchi: Exhibition Showed Iranian Entrepreneurship and Creativity

In his remarks following the visit, Araghchi emphasized the role of Iranian women entrepreneurs and women who are heads of households.

He said that the participation of women entrepreneurs and female heads of households demonstrated Iranian production capacity, creativity and innovation to foreign guests. He also connected their participation with greater human and cultural interaction.

This aspect of the exhibition was particularly significant because the event was not limited to commercial presentation. According to the description provided by Araghchi, the entrepreneurs’ participation also created an opportunity for international visitors to learn more about Iranian products and capabilities through direct interaction.

The exhibition thus combined economic activity with cultural exchange.

For Iranian entrepreneurs, especially small businesses and women-led enterprises, participation in an event attended by members of the diplomatic community can provide visibility beyond their usual customer base. For foreign visitors, the event can provide an informal setting in which to encounter Iranian products, crafts and businesses.
