Najmeh Jodaki: Television Work and Life of the Former TV Presenter

Najmeh Jodaki is an Iranian former television presenter and radio host who became known to audiences through her work in Iranian broadcasting. Her career began at a remarkably young age, when she entered radio at the age of 15 and started working with the children and teenagers’ department. Over the years, she developed experience in radio presentation, television hosting, filmmaking, and editing, establishing herself as a media personality whose career extended beyond traditional presenting.

Born on November 11, 1992, in Tehran, Jodaki grew up with an interest in acting and presenting. Her early fascination with performance eventually developed into a professional career in broadcasting. Rather than beginning her career after completing university, she entered the media industry during her teenage years. This early start gave her the opportunity to gain practical experience in front of an audience and work with established figures in Iranian radio.

Jodaki later studied architecture at Islamic Azad University. Although architecture represented a different professional direction from broadcasting, her education contributed another dimension to her creative background. Her interests eventually expanded into filmmaking and editing, and she reportedly completed courses in both fields. She has also made three short films, demonstrating an interest in visual storytelling beyond her work as a presenter.

Her television career brought her wider public attention, particularly through her appearance on the program Haft Taraneh, or Seven Songs, which was broadcast on Shamma Network. Her appearance on the program generated controversy and criticism. According to biographical accounts about her career, criticism surrounding her presentation style and appearance eventually resulted in a four-year period during which she was not permitted to appear on domestic television networks.

That period became one of the defining episodes of Jodaki’s professional life. For a young presenter who had entered broadcasting as a teenager, being removed from television represented a major interruption to an already developing career. Nevertheless, her professional interests did not end with television.
