The closing ceremony of the 40th Fajr International Theater Festival
Until the 24th edition of the Fajr Festival, most of the shows were new works produced for the festival. However, most of the shows chosen to participate in the festival had already had public performances between April 24 and 25, and only a few works were created specifically for the festival. This change was made based on the theory that “the festival is a place to present one-year productions of the country’s theater.” From the 26th period until now (the 30th period), the two previous methods of selecting works were combined, and part of the festival shows were selected from among the shows performed throughout the year, and some of the new works that had been prepared to participate in the festival were used in a more comprehensive way.
