Tara Touzie: Following in the Footsteps of Shohreh Aghdashloo
Shohreh Aghdashloo, born in Tehran on April 13, 1331, embarked on a successful acting career in Iran before the Iranian revolution. Collaborating with acclaimed directors such as Abbas Kiarostami, Ali Hatami, and Mohammad Reza Aslani, Aghdashloo left an indelible mark on Iranian cinema. However, amidst the revolution in 1357, Aghdashloo made the decision to leave Iran. In January 1979, while the Shapur Bakhtiar government was still in power, Aghdashloo and his wife, Hoshang Touzie, traveled to Los Angeles via Turkey. In Los Angeles, they engaged in numerous theatrical productions, honing their craft and leaving a lasting impact on the local arts scene.
