Reza Pahlavi Celebrates His 64th Birthday: Honoring the Legacy and Vision

The Revolution of 1979: Exile and a New Path Forward

In 1979, the Iranian Revolution drastically altered the lives of millions, including the Pahlavi family. The Shah was overthrown, and the family was forced into exile. For Reza, who was still a young adult, this marked the beginning of an enduring journey in exile. From that point on, his life took on a new purpose: advocating for a democratic Iran, one that represented the aspirations of all its citizens, regardless of background or political beliefs.

The years following the revolution were challenging for Reza and his family. He witnessed the changes that took place in Iran from afar, and despite the personal losses and challenges, he dedicated himself to studying, learning, and preparing to be a voice for Iranians. Reza Pahlavi enrolled at the University of Southern California, where he pursued studies in international relations and political science, fields that would become instrumental in his advocacy work. His education prepared him to understand the complexities of international diplomacy, an area he has often engaged with as a representative of the Iranian diaspora.
