Pantea Modiri: Separation from Iran International Network Raises Questions

The circumstances surrounding Pantea Modiri’s separation from Iran International Network have ignited discussions about journalistic integrity and the responsibilities of anchors in the media industry. While Modiri cited “beliefs and thoughts” as the reason for her departure, Rasoolpour’s response has cast doubt on her claims of leaving due to political disagreements.

Born in Kermanshah, Iran, Pantea Modiri and her family migrated to Sweden when she was 10 years old, following the revolution. Modiri’s passion for media and politics led her to collaborate with various political and cultural groups during her studies. She eventually embarked on a career as an announcer for Zamane Radio in Amsterdam, Holland, leveraging her proficiency in English and Dutch. Her diverse experiences also included working as a translator for the Middle East publishing section of a British journal and holding roles at the BBC as a dubber and shadow producer.
