Daryabari attended California State University where she received a BSc in computer science. She also attended Golden Gate University in San Francisco where she received a MSc in telecommunications management. Kordestani was one of the founders of PARSA Community Foundation (2006–2011), a cultural, heritage, entrepreneurship, and philanthropic society based in Redwood City, California.
