Born in Tehran, Iran, in 1963, Kordestani’s journey to becoming a Silicon Valley titan is marked by resilience and determination. Moving to San Jose, California, after the death of his father in 1976, he pursued education and later earned an electrical engineering degree from San Jose State University. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he earned an MBA in 1991, laying the foundation for a career that would redefine the tech landscape.

Omid Kordestani’s impact extends beyond the boardroom. As one of the founders of the PARSA Community Foundation, a cultural and philanthropic society, he has actively contributed to fostering entrepreneurship and preserving Iranian heritage.
