Natalie Amiri receives the journalism prize of the city of Munich

In 2021, Medium Magazin awarded her first place and thus the best political journalist in the country. The reasoning of the jury is: “Amiri reports professionally and knowledgeably from crisis countries like Afghanistan and Syria. With empathy but a critical view of the governments, she draws a clear and realistic picture of these countries. Her book Between the Worlds, about her experiences in Iran, became a bestseller in 2021. With her tireless work, she helps ensure that the world’s crisis regions are not forgotten.”[22] In 2022 she received the Journalism Prize of the City of Munich.
