Business Career: The Mostazafan Foundation

Following his military career, Rafighdoost transitioned into business. In 1989, he was appointed to lead the Mostazafan Foundation (Bonyad-e Mostazafen va Janbazan), which ranks as the second-largest commercial enterprise in Iran. The foundation, tasked with assisting the oppressed and veterans, managed a diverse portfolio that included real estate and various consumer goods.

Under Rafighdoost’s stewardship, the Mostazafan Foundation prospered until 1999, amassing substantial wealth and influence within the Iranian economy. His business acumen has continued to thrive since then, with Rafighdoost currently serving as the Director of the Noor Foundation, an entity with interests in pharmaceuticals, construction materials, and real estate, generating substantial revenue that is estimated to be around $200 million annually.
