Shedding Light on Mehdi Hashemi’s Release: Transparency and Implications

According to the recent statements made by Seyyed Vahid Abul Maali al-Husseini, Mehdi Hashemi Rafsanjani’s lawyer, Mehdi Hashemi Bahrmani was sentenced to 10 years in prison. As per the law, after serving one-third of his sentence (which equates to three and a half years), he became eligible for parole. Eventually, in January 1401 (according to the Persian calendar), after serving a total of seven and a half years in prison, he was released on parole.
