Meeting between Khamenei and the regime’s leaders

Years ago, when we began hosting this Quranic ceremony on Saturday nights during the holy month of Ramadan, I repeatedly explained why such ceremonies are held and what their purposes are.

The most important goal was to bring about a real transformation in our hearts, attitudes, and behaviors. During these three decades, many things have been done. We should carefully consider all of these activities to determine what they have resulted in.

This year’s flood of emotional gatherings brought into relief some key issues. One was the issue of Palestine, which has long been an important matter; it is currently Islamic countries’ first priority. They won’t be able to oppose it or provide the assistance you require unless you take the initiative and actively advocate for it.

The event on Quds Day was unparalleled, at least compared to those of recent years: masses marched on that day, as informed by familiar people from around the country, in unprecedented numbers—much more than they did in previous years.

Of course, such unofficial events cannot be easily estimated or counted because there is no organization for counting them, but this can be said based on what could be visibly seen: People flocked to Quds rallies all across Iran! Some 56 million people took part! When imams spoke via radio channels in different provinces during Friday prayers, millions listened attentively and responded enthusiastically—much more than before!
