Born in Tehran on June 10, 1977, Mahnaz Afshar’s passion for the arts flourished early in life. After graduating from high school with a focus on natural science, she delved into the world of theater through the “Hannaneh” art institute, guided by a relative who was involved in theater affairs at “Soureh” college.

Her journey continued with notable experiences, including participation in the assembly job of “Ketāb-e Avval as a Golddigger” training materials under the direction of Dariush Mehrjui. The pivotal moment in her career occurred when Shamsi Fazlollahi invited her to act in the TV series “Gomshodeh” (Lost), marking her official entry into the television industry.

Despite initial challenges with the release of the film “Doostan” (Friends), Afshar’s persistence and talent shone through with her cinematic debut in “Shour-e Eshgh” (Passion of Love), earning acclaim from audiences and critics alike. Subsequent hits like “Atash-bas” (Ceasefire) and “Salad-e Fasl” (Season Salad) solidified her status as a powerhouse in Iranian cinema.
