Mahmoud Khordbin, born on September 24, 1948, in Tehran, stands as a towering figure in football, having left an indelible mark on the sport. From his formative years at Bank Melli in the early 1960s to becoming a goal-scoring sensation at Persepolis, Khordbin’s journey is a narrative of dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment.

As a prolific striker, Khordbin graced the football field for Persepolis from 1969 to 1980, accumulating an impressive 170 appearances and scoring 47 goals. His remarkable talent did not go unnoticed, earning him a coveted spot on the Iranian national team in 1972, where he showcased his skills in two international matches.

Transitioning seamlessly from player to manager, Khordbin took on the role of caretaker manager for Persepolis in 1993. This marked the commencement of a new chapter in his illustrious career.
